Roll-off dumpster rental in Beloit
Approx. 12 miles south of the yard, around 18 minutes — County G to Highway 11, then I-39/90 south to the Shopiere Road exit.
Beloit is a straight run down I-39/90 from the yard, about 18 minutes to the Shopiere Road exit, so it is reliably same-day when you call before noon. It is the biggest city on our list after Janesville — 36,640 people across about 17 square miles — and the 53511 ZIP takes in the Town of Beloit around it, which is where a lot of the newer houses are.
The City runs a tight ship on waste: Public Works collects household carts, bulky items and appliances are pre-paid and pre-scheduled one at a time, and ord. 17.50 says nobody hauls solid waste in the city without a City Clerk hauler permit. We explain plainly below what that means for a container.
Local knowledge
Getting our bearings in Beloit
Knowing a city properly is the difference between covering it and showing up with the right box.
- Beloit Public Works runs the carts and the Recycling Center from 2351 Springbrook Court — black-lid trash weekly, gray-lid recycling every other week.
- Bulky items are priced one at a time — $20 per item or appliance ($30 for a sofa-sleeper), pre-paid and pre-scheduled, and a $125 early set-out fee if it goes to the curb without an appointment.
- The Rock River and the Illinois line — the city sits on the river where it crosses into Illinois, with Beloit College in the middle of it.
- Rock County Clean Sweep comes to the Beloit DPW on Saturday 13 June 2026 for paint, solvents and chemicals — the place for hazardous stuff, not the container.
- The City's own yard-waste page names a private compost yard in Janesville, Complete Compost on East LT Townline Road, as an alternative for brush and leaves.
How we reach Beloit

What comes out of Beloit properties
Kitchens, baths, roofs and garage cleanouts in 15s and 20s, estate and rental cleanouts in 20s and 30s. The City will not take any of it at the curb without a pre-paid appointment, and never electronics; its Saturday Recycling Center charges by the item and by the bag. The City does rent small 4- and 8-yard bins to residents for two days on 48 hours' notice, with no shingles, electronics, yard waste or tires allowed — for a real renovation you want a roll-off, and ours tip at the Janesville landfill at $46 a ton.

Permits, placement and who may haul in Beloit
Right-of-way: ord. 11.05 prohibits any obstruction or encumbrance of a street, alley, sidewalk or terrace, and the exceptions are signs, awnings, utilities and loading goods for up to three hours — no dumpster or street-occupancy permit was found in the chapter. Keep the container on your own driveway or lot, and call Public Works on (608) 364-2929 before you even think about the street.
Who may haul — the rule that matters: ord. 17.23(1) requires residents to use the City's own collection, 17.23(2) requires non-residential properties to use private haulers "permitted by the City", and ord. 17.50 says no person may collect, transport or dispose of solid waste in the City without an annual City Clerk permit — a state DNR licence, a $1,000,000 liability certificate naming the City, a per-vehicle fee set by the Council, expiry on 30 June and quarterly tonnage reports (17.52). The City licenses haulers, and we hold our Beloit permit.

How it works
Booking a dumpster in Beloit
Booking a container here takes one phone call and about five minutes.
- 1
Call and tell us the job
One short conversation. We ask what you are clearing, where the container needs to sit, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us. No forms, no waiting on an email.
- 2
We size it and quote it flat
You get one number covering delivery, the 7-day rental, pickup, disposal and a stated tonnage allowance. If a smaller box does the job we will say so. If it is shingles or concrete, we say up front that it needs its own box.
- 3
Delivered where you want it
The driver walks the spot with you and sets the container square on the driveway, lot or job site, boards under the rails. Same-day in Janesville if you called before noon.
- 4
Load at your own pace
Keep it level with the top rail and keep the banned items out — tires, appliances, electronics, batteries, oil, yard waste in a mixed load. Need a swap mid-job or an early pickup? One call and we are on it.
- 5
We haul it and sort it right
Clean concrete, brick and brush go to the Clean Fill Facility, appliances and metal to the landfill's recycling areas, and the rest to the licensed landfill for that county. You get your driveway back the way you left it.

Local answers
Dumpster rental in Beloit — common questions
Is Beloit same-day?
Usually, yes — it is about 18 minutes down I-39/90. Call before noon.
Can I put a dumpster on the street in Beloit?
The City's code bars obstructing streets, alleys, sidewalks and terraces and we found no container permit route. The driveway is the answer; ring Public Works (608-364-2929) if there is genuinely nowhere else.
Does Beloit restrict who can supply a roll-off?
Yes. Ord. 17.50 requires an annual City Clerk hauler permit with DNR licensing and $1 million of insurance. We hold our Beloit permit — we would rather say so now than have a container turned away.
Will the City take my old couch or fridge at the curb?
Only pre-paid and pre-scheduled, at $20 an item, and never without an appointment — $125 if it goes out early. For a whole cleanout, one container is simpler than booking it piece by piece.
Service area
Every town we cover
We run roll-off containers out of the Adel Street yard to every town below. Janesville, Beloit and the Rock County towns are usually same-day; the Walworth, Jefferson, Dane and Green County towns are next-day. Four towns license the haulers that work inside their limits — each page says so plainly. If your town is not listed, call anyway.
