Construction Dumpster Rental across Rock County and south-central Wisconsin
A job site does not produce one kind of waste. Demolition comes out heavy — concrete, brick, slab pieces, tile — then framing and drywall come out light and bulky, then the finish phase is packaging and offcuts. We size each phase separately: a 10 yard loaded level for the heavy material, a 30 or 40 for the bulk, and a swap schedule so the crew never waits on a full box.
Around Janesville that matters more than most places, because the landfills sort by stream. The Janesville landfill refuses concrete, asphalt and shingles in a mixed load and sends clean concrete, brick and unpainted lumber to its Clean Fill Facility by the cubic yard; the Green County Landfill will not take concrete, brick or dirt at all and requires demolition and trash to be separated; Dane County's C&D building wants loads at least half recyclable. Keeping each box to one stream is how a job stays cheap.

Demolition, framing, roofing and finish
Demolition debris is where the weight is. Concrete, brick, block and tile go in 10 yards loaded level, because a 30 heaped with rubble is more than the truck can lift and more than any allowance covers. Framing and drywall go in 30s and 40s. Roofing is a 20 for a normal tear-off and a 30 for double layers — always its own box, because the Janesville landfill has refused asphalt shingles since 2012 and we route them elsewhere.
Asbestos is a state matter. The DNR requires the building to be inspected for asbestos before demolition or renovation, and for commercial buildings a notice at least 10 working days before demolition with a fee from $135. Single-family and 1-to-4-unit homes are typically exempt from the notice unless the job is part of a road or commercial project. Asbestos-containing material never goes in a roll-off; a licensed abatement contractor handles it. We will ask what the building is before we quote a demolition job.
Job-site placement and the City of Janesville
On a private lot we place where the driver can reach it and the crew can load it. For a container in a Janesville street, alley, sidewalk or terrace the City requires a Dumpster Permit through the Building Division (608-755-3060) — two weeks maximum, company name on the box, barricade and flashing yellow light on the traffic side, out of traffic lanes, and off the street in a snow emergency. The same office issues demolition permits: $132 for a residential structure, $100 for minor interior work, $165 for a commercial building up to 20,000 square feet. Every load leaves the site covered — the City (ord. 30-43) and the state hauler rule both require it.

Construction dumpster rental — the local specifics
Hauler rules are set town by town, not by the counties. Beloit, Delavan, Elkhorn and Monroe license haulers — Elkhorn and Delavan with a specific Grade 2 class for construction and demolition work. Whitewater's 2026 razing ordinance wants a debris disposal and transport plan on major teardowns, and Delavan and Brodhead razing permits require debris hauled away at the end of each week, which is a swap schedule, not a pile. Every town page quotes the section.

Answers
Construction Dumpster Rental — your questions answered
Do you do swap-outs?
Yes. We pull the full container and drop an empty in the same trip. Most multi-week jobs book the first swap at the start.
Can I mix concrete with other debris?
You can, but it is expensive and the Janesville landfill will refuse the load. Concrete fills the weight allowance long before the box looks full, so we run a 10 for inert material alongside a 30 for the rest, and the clean box goes to the Clean Fill Facility by the cubic yard.
Can you deliver to a site with no address yet?
Yes — give us the nearest cross street and a gate contact, and the driver will call ahead. The Green County Landfill asks for the address the material came from at the scale, so we will want it before the first pull.
Do I need a permit for a container on a Janesville job site?
Not on the lot itself, as far as the City's published code says. In the street or alley it is the City's Dumpster Permit, which we apply for as the container owner. We flag it when you book.
Which towns restrict construction haulers?
Beloit, Delavan, Elkhorn and Monroe license haulers by ordinance. Each town page says what that town's code says, and we tell you straight when you call.
