Roll-off dumpster rental in Clinton

Approx. 16 miles south-east of the yard, around 23 minutes — I-39/90 south to I-43, then County X east.

Clinton is I-39/90 to I-43 and then County X from the yard, about 23 minutes, and usually same-day when you call before noon. It is a village of about 2,300 and the Village Board treats garbage collection as a municipal function (ord. 35-49), contracted out to GFL.

Bulk pickup is the second Thursday of the month through Badgerland Disposal, and the village compost site on Scot Drive is residents-only for brush and yard waste — so anything from a real renovation or cleanout is container work.

Permits, placement and who may haul in Clinton

Right-of-way: ord. 41-175 prohibits encroachments on streets, alleys and sidewalks. The exception at 41-175(b)(5) is "building materials, when placed upon the street, alley or sidewalk upon conditions prescribed by the director of public works, who may require barricades or appropriate lights" — no formal permit or fee was found. Dumpsters are not named. The driveway needs no permission; for the street we would ask the director first.

Who may haul: ord. 35-49 makes garbage collection a municipal function and says no person, unless engaged by the village, shall collect garbage without the consent of the Village Board — the household-cart rule, which the village contracts out. No separate village hauler licence was found. Our loads are covered on the road and tip at the Janesville landfill under its hauler permit.

How it works

Booking a dumpster in Clinton

Booking a container here takes one phone call and about five minutes.

  1. 1

Call and tell us the job

One short conversation. We ask what you are clearing, where the container needs to sit, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us. No forms, no waiting on an email.

  2. 2

We size it and quote it flat

You get one number covering delivery, the 7-day rental, pickup, disposal and a stated tonnage allowance. If a smaller box does the job we will say so. If it is shingles or concrete, we say up front that it needs its own box.

  3. 3

    Delivered where you want it

The driver walks the spot with you and sets the container square on the driveway, lot or job site, boards under the rails. Same-day in Janesville if you called before noon.

  4. 4

    Load at your own pace

Keep it level with the top rail and keep the banned items out — tires, appliances, electronics, batteries, oil, yard waste in a mixed load. Need a swap mid-job or an early pickup? One call and we are on it.

  5. 5

We haul it and sort it right

Clean concrete, brick and brush go to the Clean Fill Facility, appliances and metal to the landfill's recycling areas, and the rest to the licensed landfill for that county. You get your driveway back the way you left it.

Local answers

Dumpster rental in Clinton — common questions

Is Clinton same-day?

Usually, yes — about 23 minutes down I-39/90 and I-43. Call before noon.

Can a dumpster sit in the street in Clinton?

Only on conditions set by the village public works director, who may require barricades and lights. The driveway needs no permission.

Does Clinton restrict who can supply a roll-off?

The village reserves household garbage collection to itself and its contractor; we found no separate hauler licence for containers. Tell us the job and we will say honestly where it stands.

Can I use the village compost site for the renovation?

No — it is residents-only and takes yard waste and brush, not building material. That goes in the container.
