Roll-off dumpster rental in Evansville

Approx. 19 miles north-west of the yard, around 35 minutes — County E to Highway 14, then north-west to Water Street.

Evansville is Highway 14 north-west from the yard, about 35 minutes, and same-day when you call before noon with a truck already heading that way — otherwise next morning. It is a town of about 5,900 and the furthest of our Rock County stops.

GFL Environmental (formerly Badgerland) collects the carts on Thursdays under City contract, and the City page publishes no bulk-item pickup at all, so a cleanout or renovation here is a container job by default.

Local knowledge

  • GFL Environmental collects on Thursdays — trash weekly, recycling every other week; from 2026 carts go out by 8 am Monday of collection week, one pass only.
  • No bulk-item pickup is published by the City — furniture and appliances need a container or a trip to the landfill.
  • Brush and branch collection April to October in the first full work week of the month, with a drop site at 465 Water Street next to the Fire Station — no dimensional lumber, plastics, dirt or garbage there.
  • Municipal Services is on 608-882-2262 and City Hall on 608-882-2266.
  • Highway 14 runs straight through to Janesville one way and toward Oregon and Madison the other.

Permits, placement and who may haul in Evansville

Right-of-way: Municipal Code §106-163(a) provides a "temporary placement license" from the City Clerk-Treasurer, after Municipal Services review, to occupy the parking area of a street, alley or sidewalk for up to 30 days — barricaded and lit, site restored afterward, applied for on the Clerk's form with a fee and deposit at least 30 days before the proposed use. Closing a travel lane for more than 8 hours in a year needs a Public Safety Committee hearing (§106-163(c)). Thirty days' notice makes the driveway the practical answer; if the street is the only option, tell us early.

Who may haul: no City hauler licence was found. Carts are GFL's under City contract; containers are private. Our loads are covered on the road and tip at the Janesville landfill under its hauler permit.

Summarized from the city's published code and web pages as read in October 2026. Codes change — confirm with the department listed before you rely on it.

How it works

Booking a dumpster in Evansville

Booking a container here takes one phone call and about five minutes.

  1. 1

Call and tell us the job

One short conversation. We ask what you are clearing, where the container needs to sit, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us. No forms, no waiting on an email.

  2. 2

We size it and quote it flat

You get one number covering delivery, the 7-day rental, pickup, disposal and a stated tonnage allowance. If a smaller box does the job we will say so. If it is shingles or concrete, we say up front that it needs its own box.

  3. 3

    Delivered where you want it

The driver walks the spot with you and sets the container square on the driveway, lot or job site, boards under the rails. Same-day in Janesville if you called before noon.

  4. 4

    Load at your own pace

Keep it level with the top rail and keep the banned items out — tires, appliances, electronics, batteries, oil, yard waste in a mixed load. Need a swap mid-job or an early pickup? One call and we are on it.

  5. 5

We haul it and sort it right

Clean concrete, brick and brush go to the Clean Fill Facility, appliances and metal to the landfill's recycling areas, and the rest to the licensed landfill for that county. You get your driveway back the way you left it.

Local answers

Dumpster rental in Evansville — common questions

Is Evansville same-day?

Sometimes — it is about 35 minutes up Highway 14. Call before noon and ask; a truck heading west most days means it can be, otherwise it is next morning.

Can a dumpster sit in the street in Evansville?

Only under a temporary placement licence from the City Clerk, up to 30 days, applied for 30 days ahead with a fee and deposit. The driveway needs no permit.

Does Evansville restrict who can supply a roll-off?

We found no City hauler licence. The carts belong to the City's contractor; containers are arranged privately.

Does the City pick up bulky items in Evansville?

The City page publishes no bulk pickup. Furniture and appliances go in a container or to the landfill, where appliances carry their own fees.

Service area

Every town we cover

We run roll-off containers out of the Adel Street yard to every town below. Janesville, Beloit and the Rock County towns are usually same-day; the Walworth, Jefferson, Dane and Green County towns are next-day. Four towns license the haulers that work inside their limits — each page says so plainly. If your town is not listed, call anyway.
